The boys and girls Varsity had a good first day at the Cobb County meet. Zayquan Graham highlighted the day with a win in the Long Jump, setting a new school record of 22’ 5". Josh Chatman took 3rd in the high jump and Rachel Gould was 4th in the Pole Vault.

On the track Will Bullock finished 3rd in the 1600m and Liz Rice was 4th in the Girls 1600m. In the preliminary races, the boys 4×100 relay qualified for Monday’s finals along with Kyndall Hudson in the 200m and 400m.

Included in these performances were three new School Records. Zayquan Graham in the Long Jump, 22’ 5". Kyndall Hudson in the 400m, 57.03s. Liz Rice in the 1600m, 5:09.35.

The finals are scheduled for Monday night at McEachern although weather may push the event to Tuesday. Both the 3200m and the 4×400 relay events will also be run on the final night.
